2.  Ken : President

l  Taiwan contact progress

Ken have contacted with Egbert, NTU student, whom Manbeer has been contacting on during the last year.

4 students from Taiwanese wanted to attend this year’s AF, but it was not possible due to the absence of the support from their University.

The University was not willing to sponsor the students because they needed to present a paper during the conference to be able to receive sponsorship, and NTU wanted the students to attend more academic conference.

Ø  Suggestion

Let’s send invitation to the University as well. It will be more professional and by doing that, we can promote interest from the law students of the countries where we don't have National Chapters.

Ø  Suggestion

We need some documents to back us up that we are professional and academic, and to show it to the Universities for support.

Ken is trying to get contact with some other Taiwanese students, but Egbert is not active on the request.

l  India contact

Ronny contacted Dimas, and he will inform her about India and Laos soon.

3.  Jin : Public Relations Coordinator

l  E-mail to ELSA

Corrections on the names were made

There were some suggestions on the letter that it should be more formal(letter heads etc.) and be in pdf file.

l  General yahoo groups

Jin has posted on alsa_gc for all particulars of each local chapters, to start general Yahoo groups. Isomura informed Jin that there were such yahoo groups before, and is currently under Kate from Thailand. So Jin will ask Kate for permission to use the group. If the answer is no, we shall just make new yahoo group.

l  AC 2008 date

The Asian Conference in Malaysia 2008 has been decided to be held in 23rd of January 2008.

Japan has problem with that date, so we should try to arrange the date to be set on some other day (last week of Dec, Fist week of Jan, end of Jan etc.) in order for the Japanese to be able to join the conference.
