The invitation of upcoming Asian Conference 2008 in Malaysia will be sent to this address (Dean of NTU, Taiwan) and to the India via the University of Malaysia, and the Faculty as soon as possible, along with the letter from the IB President.
l ALSA Environmental Project – Vice-President’s Proposal
Specific description of the project is provided in the document that Rani uploaded.
Question had been raised on the fact that each NC has to pick different environmental issues, since it would not be easy to distribute them with all different issues.
Question had been raised on the fact that the Table discussion would have to handle maximum of 9 topics, since it would not be very efficient and would not carry out a discussion with a deeper understanding.
Agreement: The Table discussion shall be carried out in a large group discussion with an addition of special events to get everyone’s attention.
Agreement: The concrete social project service shall be asked to the National Chapters after the Asian Forum 2008.
Agreement: A booklet containing the legal reviews, suggestions and plans of each National Chapters concerning the environmental project shall be issued during the press conference, along with the law review magazine..
l The Progress of the Law Review Project – Academic Activities Coordinator
The constitution of the Editorial Committee of Law Review shall take place in Sep 28th. The Committee consists of : Managing Editor, associate Editor, Features Editor, Layout Editor, Circulation Manager and others.
The Law review magazine on Intellectual Property is now under the layouting process.
Its target date of printing is the first week of November.
l The letter to ELSA and Australian Law Students’ Association shall be sent as Jin has proposed. It includes the list of IB members with the following information. Nationality, Position, Contact address, Name.
l Website Renewal Project – Secretary-General
The renewal of the website will be carried out by connecting the present website to a new web page that is provided for the ALSA members, which all the contact can be made and works can easily be conducted.
Many adjustments will be made to the present one, updating the data, giving a change to the designs, etc.
The work force for this project from the Secretariat (ALSA Korea) is being recruited and will be able to get started with the project within the end of Oct.
l Not every National Chapter is replying to the notice that is made through the ALSA_GC Yahoo group. Efforts should be made to improve the situation.
